Pillar of Islam

First Pillar of Islam: Two Sentences Syahadah

This is the pillar of Islam is first and foremost is the proclamation that there is no God who has the right to be worshiped but Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala and the testimony that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. Without this pillar, there is no Islamic buildings of one’s self. Similarly, if the pillar is destroyed, it will be Islamic buildings were destroyed all of one’s self. Therefore a Muslim should pay attention and always keep this one in the whole time and life.

Proclamation that there is no God who has the right to be worshiped but Allah SWT and testimony that Muhammad is the messenger of God is not enough merely in verbal, but more than that, a witness must know and believe what he witnessed as well as practice the consequences such testimony. If there is one witness who spoke with his verbal that he had seen something but in fact it is not true alias he just lied then witness is called a false witness. Likewise, if someone were to say the second sentence with a verbal confession of faith, but his heart was not believed, then this person is a liar. Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala called hypocrites when they say that they bear witness that Muhammad sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam is the Messenger of God, but God rejected their false testimony that does not appear that belief. Allah says:

“When the hypocrites come to thee, they say:” We bear witness that thou art truly the Messenger of Allah. “And God knows that you are truly His Messenger and Allah knows that the hypocrites were true -liars. “(Surat al Munafiquun: 1)

The first sentence of the two sentences of this creed, that sentence Laa ilaha illallah is not a sentence that is lightweight and trivial. There is a very deep meaning and consequences of a very large behind the second sentence. Even God had to witness this sentence Laa ilaha illallah. Allah says,

“Allah is witness that there is no God but He (the right to be worshiped), the upholding of justice. The Angels and the people of knowledge (also stating such). There is no god but He (the right to be worshiped), the Mighty, the Wise. “(Surah Ali Imran: 18)

Laa ilaha ILALLAH sentence, as an explanation of the clergy, have meaning:

لا معبود حق إلا الله

“There is no god who has the right to be worshiped but Allah”

Allah says,

“That is because Allah, He (God) Who Haq and indeed what they invoke besides Him, that’s vanity, and that Allah, He is Most High, Most Great.” (Qur’an: 62)

From this meaning we know of any god other than Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala who is worshiped by humans such as graves, trees, the Prophets, angels, righteous, and so forth. But god is in fact no right at all to worship and worshiped as the right to be worshiped and worshiped only Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala.

“Therefore Nor the slightest benefit to their gods they invoke besides Allah, on the seizing of your Lord comes. And the gods were not adding to them except the sheer destruction. “(Surah Huud: 101)

In this verse, Allah says that unbelievers have a god other than Allah. But god it was not able to provide benefits to them when it comes Wrath of God.

Therefore, it is a phenomenon that is very sad when we see there is a Muslim who already speak two sentences creed, but he’s still doing various forms of worship to other than Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala either to the righteous, graveyard, guardian genie and so forth. Among the causes of this is ignorance of Islam that afflicts many Muslims in this day and age. Moreover no idea of monotheism which is the core of the religion of Islam.

In the sentence لا اله إلا الله contained two very important aspects. The first is aspects of removal / negation, which is reflected in the words لا اله (No god is right to be worshiped), and that means eliminating all forms of worship to other than Allah, whatever its form. The scholars have termed the first aspect of this with the term An Nafyu (النفي). While the second aspect is aspects of the determination, which is reflected in the words إلا الله (except Allah) which means established that all forms of worship are for Allah alone. The scholars have termed the first aspect of this with the term Al Ithbat (الإثبات).

Both aspects are very important to be understood correctly by a Muslim who wants to realize the two sentences of this creed. Because, if a Muslim one in understanding it, then it would be wrong also in the make it happen. For example we can see in people is now known as JIL (Liberal Islam Network), some of them (read: Nurcholis Madjid jazaahullahu bimaa yastahiq) interpret and make sense of sentences with the meaning of Tawheed “there is no god (with small t) but God (with big T) “. With this interpretation is wrong, they equate the God of the worship of man. End of their conclusions, they say that the Lord of all religions is one differ only in their mention. May Allah destroy people like this and keep the Muslims from this kind of thinking.

The second aspect is precisely what has been understood by Ibrahim, alayhi salam Imam people doing tauhid, father of the Prophets and Apostles. He said when he told the words of Ibrahim, ‘alayhi salam,

“And remember when Abraham said to his father and his people:” I am innocent of what ye worship, but (I worship) God made me, for surely He will give guidance to me. “And Abraham made the sentence is the sentence of eternal unity on descendants so that they return to the unity that sentence. “(Surah Az Zukhruf: 26-28)

Ibrahim, alayhi salam, denying the deity worshiped by his people by saying that he was innocent of it. Then he determined that he was to worship God who created him is Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala. Then he made the sentence لا اله إلا الله are conserved for posterity.

Then the second part of the two sentences of this creed is the testimony that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. Allah has affirmed that there has been a messenger of God sent this man, and he is our prophet, our example of Muhammad sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam. Allah Almighty says,

“It has come unto you a messenger from thy people himself, he felt the weight of your misery, really wanted (faith and salvation) you, so again loving mercy towards the believers.” (Surat At-Tauba: 128)

Allah also says,

“He Who has sent to the illiterate a Messenger among them, who read his verses to them, purify them and teach them the Book and Hikmah (As Sunnah). And indeed they were previously completely in manifest error. “(Surat al Jumuah: 2)

The meaning of this second sentence is believed that Muhammad sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam revelation given by God and believe he is truly the messenger of God, and he is the Seal of the Prophets (Sharh Arba’in Nawawiyah An Alu Shaykh Shaykh Salih: The second hadith). Therefore, any person who believes that he is not given a revelation by Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala then the witness is not valid. This much we are witnessing today, there are those who doubt the religion of Islam. They say that the Koran and the Hadith is simply a concept drawn up by Muhammad and not a revelation sent by Allah SWT and then the concept is carried by his companions, wal’iyadzubillah.

Anyone who believes that he is not sent to deliver something that has been commanded to him, then the witness is not valid. Likewise, anyone who thinks the apostle and messenger of Allah upon our Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam, then then the witness is not valid. As claimed by some people who say that there is among the group who became the Prophet as Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (jazaahullahu bimaa yastahiq) or the Prophets local classes such as Lia Aminuddin (kafaanallahu ‘an syarrihaa) and others.

Testimony that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah has a consequence that is obedient to his command, confirming the news he brought, and away from the ban on him and we worship God only by the Shari’a which he brought. Shaykh Al-Nu’man ibn Abdul Kariim Watr said in Taisir Wushul, “Obey the orders he obeyed the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam when he commanded us. Because he was obedient to obey the word of God and because he did not come from the passions and the Prophet ordered us only with things that are beneficial to the world and our religion. Confirming the news he brought because he is an honest person and justified, and because his words do not come from the passions and is a consequence of believing that he is really the Messenger is confirming his word. Steer clear of the whole ban him for saying he did not come from the passions and he only forbids us from things that are not beneficial to the world and our religion. Worshiping God only that he brought to the Shari’a because people who worship God with the Shari’a but then he has done his heresy. Prophet ‘alayhi wa sallam once said, “Whoever is charitable deeds with no orders from us then the practice was rejected.” (HR Muslim) ”

Islamic Pillar Two: Enforce Prayer

The second pillar of Islam after a two-sentence confession of faith was to establish prayer five times a day. Even prayer is the difference between a believer and a disbeliever, as the words of the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam, “Surely that separates between a man and shirk and kufr is leaving the prayer.” (Narrated by Muslim). Therefore a Muslim must give attention to prayer. But it was a matter that is very alarming, many Muslims in this era that devalues the issue of prayer and even sometimes neglect to do it.

Five times the prayer is prayer Zhuhur, Asr prayer, praying Maghrib, Isha prayers and Fajr prayers. Here’s the obligatory five daily prayers performed by Muslims. Let us refer to a hadeeth narrated by Anas bin Malik, he said, “Prayer is required five times the Prophet peace and blessings of Allaah be upon on the eve of Ascension as much as 50 times, then decreases until it becomes 5 times, then he called out,” O Muhammad actually my words will not change and the reward is equal to 5 times, 50 times the reward for you. “(Agreed upon)

Allah also says,

‘Set up a prayer from the sun after a dark night and slipping up (also establish regular prayers) at dawn. Indeed dawn prayer was witnessed (by angels). “(Surat al-Isra: 78)

In the word of God,

“Establish regular prayer from when the sun slipped through the dark night.”

Obligations contained in it doing with Isha prayer until midday then on his word,

“And (also steadfast in prayer) at dawn. Indeed dawn prayer was witnessed (by angels). “Contained within it a command to do morning prayers. (See Sharh Aqeedah al Wasithiyyah Shaykh Muhammad ibn Saalih al Uthaymeen).

Establish prayer is the duty of every Muslim who has baligh and sensible. As a Muslim who lost consciousness, then he is not obliged to do the prayers based on the hadith of ‘Ali rodhiallahu’ anhu that the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam, he said, “The pen is lifted from the three groups, from people who sleep until he woke up, from young children until she and dream of a madman until he is cured. “(Narrated by Abu Daud and 12.78 No. 4370 See Shohih Jami’us Sagheer 3513).

Nevertheless, the guardian of a child must tell their children to pray in order to train the child to keep praying five times. Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said, “Command your children that have been aged seven years to do the prayers, and beat them so they want to do the prayer when they were 10 years old and be separate their beds.” (Hasan, Saheeh Jami’us Sagheer 5868 , HR. Abu Daud)

Third Pillar of Islam: give Zakat

This is the third pillar of Islam that give charity. Allah says,

“Though they were not ordered except to worship Allah with obedience to Him purifies the (running) the right religion, and that they establish prayer and give charity. and that is the right religion. “(Surat al-Bayyinah: 5)

Allah also says when it threatens those who do not want to pay their zakat,

“And let not those who are miserly with the treasures that God has given them of His bounty think that it is good for their stinginess. Actually it’s stinginess is bad for them. Property that they bakhilkan it will draped around his neck later in the day. And to Allah belong all legacy (existing) in the heavens and the earth. And Allah knows what you do. “(Surah Ali Imran: 180)

Messenger of Allah salallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said in a hadith from Abu Hurairoh of the Prophet salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, he said, “Whoever is given wealth by God, but he did not fulfill their zakat on the Day of Resurrection he will face a male snake’s bald head as much venom and has two fangs that will mengalunginya on the Day of Resurrection. Then the snake bit her two mouth and said, I was a treasure simpananmu, I was your treasure. “Then the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam read the verse,

Fourth Pillar of Islam: Fasting in Ramadan

This is the fourth pillar of Islam that must be done by a Muslim is fasting during the whole month during Ramadan by withholding food, drink and sex and other Invalidate ranging from dawn until sunset. Allah says,

“O ye who believe, fasting obligatory upon you as required above those before you, that you may become pious (ie) in a certain number of days. So whoever among you is sick or traveling (and he is breaking), then (wajiblah him fast) as many days that left it on other days. And mandatory for people who run it hard (if they are not fasting) ransom, (that) the feeding of one poor. Anyone who does good compliance, then that is better for him. And fast is better for you if ye but knew. (Some of the appointed day it is) the month of Ramadan, the month in which reduced (beginning) of the Qur’an as guidance for mankind and explanations of the instructions and the difference (between the right and the false). Therefore, whoever among you is present (in a country where he lives) in that month, then let him fast the month, and whoever sick or traveling (and he is breaking), then (wajiblah fast for him), as many days that left it , on the other days. God desires ease for you, and do not want hardship for you. And ye, and let moderation bilangannya glorify God for His guidance is given unto you, that ye may give thanks. “(Surat al-Baqarah: 183-185)

Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said in a hadith narrated from Abu Hurairah, “Whoever fasted in Ramadan because of faith with its obligations and expect Allah will be forgiven his sins that have been then.” (Agreed upon)

In another hadith, the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said, “Allah said, the entire charity posterity of Adam is for himself except fasting. Fasting is for Me and I shall requite. Fasting is a shield. If you are fasting, do not you talk dirty or shouting. If someone insults you or hit you, then say “I’m fasting” twice. By Him the soul of Muhammad in the hands of his bad breath is the fasting person is more fragrant in the sight of Allah than the smell of musk oil on the Day of Judgement. People who fast get two happiness, happy when breaking the fast and happy with fasting because when he met with his Lord. “(Agreed upon)

In another hadith, the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said, “Verily in Paradise there is a door with a gate called Ar Rayyan. Only people who often fasted will enter these doors. They called, “Where are those who fasted?” Then they entered into it and the people but they can not enter. If they have entered, then closed the door and no more incoming than them. “(Agreed upon)

The five pillars of Islam: Hajj to the House if Able

The five pillars of Islam is Hajj to the House if they can afford once in a lifetime. Allah says,

“Doing the hajj is a human duty to Allah, (for) people who can afford the trip to the House.” (Surah Ali Imran: 97)

Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said in a hadith narrated from Abu Hurairoh, “Pilgrimage is one with which then became the melting of sin is between them and no proper reward for the pilgrims who Mabrur except paradise.” (Agreed upon)

In another hadith narrated from Abu Hurayrah that he said that the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam once preached, “O people, Allah made it compulsory upon you Hajj, so berhajilah.” Then there is a man who said, “What is on every year O Messenger of Allah? “then he was silent as to the man to ask three times. Then he said, “If I say yes, undoubtedly will be mandatory for you when you can not afford. Let what I left behind because the real cause destruction of after you are asking lots of questions and menyelisihi prophet. If I tell one thing then do all you guys and if I forbid something then stay away. “(Narrated by Muslim).

What is capable of in the implementation of the Hajj? Shaykh Abdul ‘Azhim bin Badawi explains that the ability to perform the Hajj associated with three things:

First, health is based on the hadith of Ibn Abbas that there was a woman of Ja’tsam who complained to the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam, “O Messenger of Allah in fact my father when he was exposed to liabilities haji is old and he was unable to climb the mount, if I could for her pilgrimage “Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said,” Berhajilah for him. “(Agreed upon)

Second, a provision for round-trip pilgrimage and has provision for the needs of people who are obliged to give him a living. It is based on the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam, “Enough is called a sinner if he was wasting the person obliged him nafkahi.” (Narrated by Abu Daud)

Third, secure from tampering in transit. Since Hajj when unsafe conditions are a hazard and danger is one barrier that is prescribed.
