Intention means expressly for prayers, devote themselves to God Almighty alone, and strengthen the heart.
The Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wasallam said:
“All charities depend on the intentions and every person will get (children) in accordance with his intentions.”
(Narrated by Bukhari, Muslim and others. Read Al Irwa ‘, hadeeth no. 22).
Intention is not said
And no mention of the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wasallam, nor from one of his friends that the intention was said.
Abu Dawud said to Imam Ahmad. He said, “Did someone say something before he prayed Takbir!” Imam Ahmad replied, “No.” (Masaail al-Imam Ahmad p. 31 and Majmuu ‘al Fataawaa XXII/28).
AsSuyuthi said, “including acts of heresy is alarmed (always free) during the prayer intention. It was never done by the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wasallam and the Companions him. They had no intention of ever saying the prayer at all other than just lafadz Takbir . ”
Ash-Shafi’i said, “Was-was in the prayers and intentions in thaharah including the Shari’a or the folly of confusing sense.” (See al-Amr bi al Itbaa ‘wa al nahy’ an al Ibtidaa ‘).
